League Information

Softball T-Ball Clinic

The Roxbury Softball T-Ball Clinic is a FREE PROGRAM that will take place during the Spring Season and will give young players ages 3-5 their first introduction to the game of softball. Our program helps develop basic hand-eye coordination, throwing, catching and batting skills and will focus on skill specifics, such as throwing mechanics, swing form and proper fielding by using drills to provide tools to improve as a softball player.

FARM leagues

The Farm leagues are for players in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Players learn basic game rules and skills in a fun, friendly environment at Horseshoe Lake fields. Practices are usually twice a week for the first 2-3 weeks and then scrimmage games begin between Roxbury Farm teams. During game season, the schedule is typically one practice and one game per week. All activities take place at Horseshoe Lake and players receive a team t-shirt and visor.

Rookie Level

The Rookie level is for players in 2nd and 3rd grades. Players continue to learn basic game rules and skills in a competitive environment. Rookie teams will play in the Long Valley league and feature “coach pitch” environment. At this level, there are no umpires required and games are structure to provide real-time game play in an instructional environment. Rookie players receive shorts, Henley shirt and softball cap.

Minors Level

The Minors level is for players in 4th and 5th grades. At this level, players participate in competitive play following Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Softball rules and regulations. Teams will complete in a full playoff schedule and make a bid for the Minor League championship. At this level, players begin to pitch under coach supervision. Minors players are eligible to be chosen by their coaching staff to play in the league’s All-Star game during the season. Minors players receive softball pants, uniform shirt, socks and softball cap.

Majors Level

The Majors level is for players in 6th through 8th grades. At this level, players participate in competitive play following Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Softball rules and regulations. Teams will complete in a full playoff schedule and make a bid for the Major League championship. Majors players are eligible to be chosen by their coaching staff to play in the league’s All-Star game during the season. Majors players receive softball pants, uniform shirt, socks and softball cap.
